Angelina Farmer joins the Institute for Experimental Arts Records

The Institute for Experimental Arts Records is delighted to welcome poet and spoken word artist Angelina Farmer to our catalogue.

Born in Birmingham, UK, and now based in Portugal, Angelina brings a unique perspective shaped by her background in education. A former headteacher, she channels her passion for nurturing others through South West Youth Arts Platform, creating spaces for young voices to flourish.

Through her work, Angelina has become a staunch advocate for the transformative power of the arts, particularly in amplifying marginalized voices. Her poetry serves as a deeply personal means of catharsis, reflecting her inner world and the emotional landscapes that shape her life.

After enduring an exceptionally challenging two years, Angelina has transformed her pain, resilience, and hope into her debut album, Hell Upon Earth. Set to be released by The Institute for Experimental Arts Records in early 2025, this powerful collection marks a new chapter in her creative journey. It offers raw, evocative verses that speak to universal struggles and the pursuit of healing.

We are thrilled to see how Angelina’s unique voice will resonate within the Institute and beyond as she continues to push boundaries and challenge perceptions through her art.
